Carrie Skow, PT, DPT
Carrie grew up in a small town in Texas named Breckenridge which is similar in size to Cottage Grove, Oregon. She received her bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX.
Carrie’s passion for physical therapy is rooted in manual therapy. She believes that this type of a hands-on approach is a very important part of PT. She is focused on utilizing a combination of mobilization and stabilization techniques designed to restore healthy movement patterns and effectively decrease pain, as well as the risk of future injury. She has been attending continuing education courses in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy. As an active individual herself, she love’s assisting her patients in returning to work as well as resuming their hobbies. Physical therapy is all about helping you get back on your feet so you can return to what you truly love doing.
Carrie moved to Eugene with her husband in June 2014 and they love living here where there is always somewhere to go or something to do! In her spare time she enjoys hiking, fly fishing, running, swimming and sightseeing around the beautiful Northwest. Four days after arriving in Oregon, Carrie and her Husband Mike adopted a 3-month old Lab/Great Dane mix and named him Moose. He thoroughly enjoys being the center of attention as well as accompanying them on their hiking and swimming outings.
Additional continuing education is available upon request.
